Work Experience (FETAC 5)

This course will allow candidates to complete work experience in their chosen vocational area. It will allow candidates to gain valid work experience in the career field that they wish to pursue. Candidates can use the placement to avail of a valid work reference from the employer to include on CV’s.
Benefits:
- Gain valuable work related experience
- Gain an insight into the type of day to day work that is completed in a certain career choice
- Gain an employer reference for use on a new CV
- Use the work placement as an opportunity to “get in” to a certain company or business
- The candidates can then use this work experience to draw down a full FETAC level 5 award, as work experience is a mandatory component module for any full FETAC level 5 Certificate.

- CV and Interview skills preparation
Complete
- Participate in a job placement
- Complete a work experience diary and report
Self-Evaluation
- Critical analysis of learning goals achieved, skills gained or improved and challenges & experiences encountered
Accreditation

Work Orientation (FETAC 3)

This course is ideally suited to CE participants who are interested in setting up a practical business. Support and advice is given to the individual during one to one sessions with our Career Coach. Candidates will then use their CE work experience time to pilot their project or test out career options. The course will look at their own abilities and strengths to see where they want to go. They will also look at the world of work and receive help in completing application forms for funding sources, business plans and help and advice on updating their own CV.

Course Content:
- Candidates will research businesses in their local area, to see what competition is around for their own business idea
- Research job prospects in your chosen field and apply for work experience positions suited to your needs
- Candidate will update CV and write application letters for work experience.
- Candidate will then complete work experience and maintain a work experience diary.
- Upon completion of work experience, the candidate will evaluate the work experience as a whole and look at further progression options including setting up their own business or applying for positions in their chosen field

Kick Start Your Career (FETAC 3)

This innovative new Career Information course will look at motivating factors, obstacles to career progression and ways of finding work. This course will also provide you with information on supports available to you and how best to use them. It will also look at the supports available to you and how best to use them.
Our Fetac accredited “Career Information” workshop will help you discover and unleash your full potential on your Personal and Career Choices.
